Tickets and booking
Chimelong Paradise sells a tiered one-day ticket: standard admission CNY 250, youth/student CNY 200, and child, senior and concession tickets at CNY 175. The child rate covers ages 3-11 (or heights from 1.0 m up to 1.5 m), the senior rate starts at 65, and the youth rate applies to ages 12-17 taller than 1.5 m. Children under 3 or under 1.0 m enter free, with a limit of one free child per ticketed adult — an allowance that does not apply to minor, university-student or concession tickets.
Tickets are single-entry and checked at the gate against the ID document registered at purchase: mainland visitors use a resident ID card, Hong Kong/Macau and Taiwan visitors use their travel permits or residence cards, and other international visitors use a valid passport. If your age or height does not match the category bought, you pay the difference at the gate rate. Booking ahead is the reliable move; the park hotline for ticket questions is 4008830083.
Entrance and routes
The park sits inside Chimelong Tourist Resort at 299 Hanxi Avenue East, Panyu District, Guangzhou. The listed approach is metro Line 3 or Line 7 to Hanxi Changlong Station, Exit E, then the free resort shuttle bus to the park entrance.
One gate routine to know: admission is verified once, against the ID document registered with your ticket, so keep the passport (or relevant ID) you booked with at hand. The ticket does not cover re-entry once you leave.
Photo spots
The pack does not itemise viewpoints, rides or themed zones, so treat this as a timing brief rather than a location list. Your ticket is single-entry and the hours are fixed — 10:00-18:00 for most of the listed season, 19:00 during February 17-23 — which sets the photo bookends: shoot right at opening and again in the final hour before close, when the light is softer.
A workable method for a one-day visit is to scout the themed areas as you move between rides, note the backdrops worth returning to, and batch photo stops at the start and end of the day, keeping midday for the rides themselves.
Timing and crowds
Listed hours are 10:00-18:00 daily from January 4 to February 16 and from February 24 to March 31, with an extended 10:00-19:00 day during February 17-23. The park flags that hours can be adjusted and on-site announcements take precedence, and the pack’s schedule only runs through March 31 — for later dates, confirm current hours via the hotline (4008830083).
The suggested visit length is one full day, so the practical default is to arrive before the 10:00 opening and plan your exit around the posted closing time. The pack contains no crowd or queue data, so treat the opening hour as the one scheduling lever you can rely on.
Walking and effort
This is a walking day, not a hiking day. The pack lists no trails, elevation gain or walking distances, and the suggested duration is one full day inside a single gated park, so the realistic demand is hours on your feet rather than any climb.
Comfortable shoes are the whole preparation. Let the free shuttle from Hanxi Changlong Station cover the approach so you start the day fresh.
Getting there
Metro is the listed route in: take Line 3 or Line 7 to Hanxi Changlong Station and leave at Exit E, then board the free Chimelong shuttle bus to the park — no fare beyond the metro ride.
For a taxi or ride-hailing drop-off, the address is 299 Hanxi Avenue East, Panyu District, Guangzhou, within Chimelong Tourist Resort.
Cost breakdown
Admission is the only cost the pack quantifies, and the listed prices apply daily year-round (January 1-December 31):
- Standard ticket: CNY 250
- Youth/student ticket: CNY 200 (youth rate: ages 12-17, over 1.5 m tall)
- Child ticket: CNY 175 (ages 3-11, or 1.0-1.5 m tall)
- Senior ticket (65+) and concession ticket: CNY 175
- Free: children under 3 or under 1.0 m, one free child per ticketed adult
Worked example: two adults on standard tickets plus one child on the child rate total CNY 675. The pack lists no prices for food, lockers, parking or any other on-site items, so treat the ticket as the floor of your budget and expect spending on top.
