Tickets and booking

Tickets run on a strict one-person, one-ticket real-name system, so booking ahead is the reliable move — and carry the identity document you booked with, because it is checked at entry. Full price is 120 RMB and students pay 60 RMB. The half rate covers full-time undergraduate students and below with a valid student ID; adult-education, in-service and online-programme students do not qualify. Free entry goes to seniors aged 65 and over, accompanied children aged 16 and under, and active-duty military, firefighters and visitors with disabilities holding valid ID. For ticket questions, call the museum on 029-81399174.

Entrance and routes

The museum stands on Qinling North Road in Lintong District, Xi’an. The pack names no individual gates; the practical entry line is the one the buses serve — alight at the Bingmayong (Terracotta Warriors) stop and follow the roughly 530-metre walk to the entrance. Build the walk and the real-name ID check into your arrival math: last admission is 17:00 from 16 March to 15 November and 16:30 from 16 November to 15 March.

Photo spots

The data pack lists no designated viewpoints, photography policies or lighting notes, so treat any shot list from other sources as unverified. What it does pin down: the roughly 530-metre approach from the bus stop is the one quantified stretch, and as a mausoleum site museum the complex combines open-air grounds with museum display space. Confirm any restrictions on on-site signage before shooting.

Timing and crowds

Opening is daily (Monday-Sunday) in both seasons: 08:30-18:00 with last entry at 17:00 from 16 March to 15 November, and 08:30-17:00 with last entry at 16:30 from 16 November to 15 March; the museum notes that final hours are set by the site itself. The pack carries no visitor-volume data, so no crowd pattern can be claimed — the dependable lever is the admission cutoff. With a suggested visit of 1-3 hours, arriving by early afternoon leaves full margin in either season.

Walking and effort

This is a museum visit, not a hike. The pack lists no trails, elevation or terrain data; the only quantified walking is the roughly 530-metre approach from the bus stop, and the suggested on-site duration is a modest 1-3 hours. Expect standing and indoor walking rather than hiking, and no special fitness demand can be inferred from the pack.

Getting there

Buses to the Bingmayong (Terracotta Warriors) stop include routes 307 and 914, Lintong routes 602, 826 and 617, Lintong tourist route 613, and tourist route You 5 (306); from the stop it is about a 530-metre walk to the museum. Alternatively, Xi’an Bus Station operates a direct shuttle to the site with guide commentary en route. The pack lists no fares or journey times for any of these services.

Cost breakdown

Admission is the only cost the pack prices: 120 RMB full fare, 60 RMB for eligible students, and free for seniors 65 and over, accompanied children 16 and under, and qualifying military, firefighter and disabled visitors with valid ID. Bus and shuttle fares are not listed, so budget transport separately; no other fees appear in the pack.
